This retreat is for people who feel ready to dive in deeply in the medicine space with us; people who truly want to wake up and raise their awareness to a next level; people that are deeply committed to do their own work inside; people who resonate with this important message of our Maestro Don José Campos:
1. Only 10% of what happens in the ceremonies is the work of Ayahuasca, 90% is your work. You are responsible!
2. All the drama you create is completely pointless. Stop the drama!
3. Know how immensely powerful you are. Go stand in your own power and stop giving it away.
The ceremonies will be guided by Wilmer Muñoz Campos, who is working in the footsteps of our maestro Don José Campos.
The retreat is being organised and supported by Yama Voorhorst. Arturo Mena will participate with his beautiful music. He is also available for music lessons (guitar, flute, charango)
“Yama is exceptional! She is so well balanced, she’s got the yin and the yang, inside and outside, head and heart and she’s very conducive. You could tell she’s doing what she supposed to do. I’ve had the pleasure to join her on one of her retreats in Peru. Although you spend a lot of time with yourself, I could always feel that she’s there for me and in time of need she was always on my side. I wish everyone growth, healing and love. A great journey to become what you already are. If you need guidance, Yama from ActWild is the way to go. Blessings!” – Maik Diederen, March 9th 2017

After a day at Don José’s Guesthouse in Pucallpa, we will be travel to Munay Camp in the jungle. This is a beautiful private Amazonian camp created for spiritual healing and inner exploration, as well as a conservation project deep in the Ucayali Region of the Peruvian Amazon, devoted to providing an authentic experience of personal inner healing and self discovery. The Munay Camp consists of a central service area with a kitchen, a large “Malocca“ (ceremonial space) where the ayahuasca ceremonies are held and 24 riverside tambos (private huts). The tambos are located approximately 25 meters from each other with little or no visual contact between them.
When you arrive in the jungle, you will be pampered with an opening meal in the kitchen, before beginning your healing diet. The rest of the days your meals will be served at your tambo twice daily, that will be free of fat, salt, sugar, or condiments. Your tambo will have a 5 gallon bottle of pure water for your 10 day stay. ‘Wayusa’ leaves are provided each morning to be used in replacement of soap, deodorants and tooth paste which are not allowed during the dieta. You can simply break some wayusa up in a glass of water and dip your tooth brush in it and rinse with the wayusa water when you are done.
During your stay you may find that solitude is a spiritual gem to be explored, however there are plenty of opportunities to explore conversations among the participants and the loving staff. The staff members are deeply devoted to making your journey with Munay safe, joyous, and deeply rewarding. While enjoying your stay you can expect to experience solitude, reading, writing, meditation, music making, compassionate dialogue and plenty of walking and swimming on the rustic trails and the beautiful river that run along and through the campsite. You will leave Munay positively transformed in a manner that you may have never imagined possible.
***WHAT IS A DIETA?
A dieta is a structure based on what the ancient curanderos did to heal their members out of disease. It is a tool helping you to reach and maintain an altered state of consciousness which permits the plant spirit of ayahuasca to instruct, provide knowledge and enable the initiate to acquire power. It is viewed as a means of making the mind operate differently, providing access to wisdom and lucid dreams.
The simple explanation of the therapeutic value of dietas is as follows:
1. They modify states of consciousness and purify the body,
2. They allow one to more easily deal with the strong emetic, cathartic, and visionary effects commonly associated with the plantas maestras. The resulting changes need to be carefully protected, as rearrangements in body biochemistries and identity patterns leave the patient or initiate for a time sensitive and vulnerable. In this way dietas can be typified as preparation and recovery technologies that attend this sort of phyto-spiritual “surgery”.
3. They stimulate the body’s innate ability to self-heal.
It is said that the dietas are prescribed by the plants themselves, each a little different, depending on the character (species) of the plant. To understand plants as capable of communicating the conditions by which we can best relate to them is a… leap… for many of us. However, in order to grasp the rationales of the dietas and the entire therapeutic process in which they are involved, it is important to cultivate a view of the natural world as highly aware, intelligent, infinitely helpful (if approached with respect) and ultimately ~ Enchanted.
The pre-diet starts two weeks before arriving in the jungle and the post diet lasts another two weeks after.
Hope to meet you in Pucallpa!
