On this page you will find some private didgeridoo’s from Zelday. Some are instruments from the professional market, some are rare, unique traditional instruments and of course the most he plays are made by himself. In fact all didgeridoo’s in the webshop are crafted and designed one by one as they belong to my own collection. Each instrument is unique, has it’s own character in sound, design and playability. That is what I like to share with those who walk the path of Didgeridoo.
Sometimes I sell instruments from my private collection, although this is very rare. When someone has a strong desire for a specific instrument, there is always space to view into this, or I can help you out with a very similar instrument.
This is the Zelday Medicine Collection II. Extremely well instrument in the key of Bb, can be played in various styles from mediation to modern percussive styles ánd has a great ability for the known Airdrum style.
A very good conical shaped Stringybark Eucalyptus didgeridoo in the Key of E. This instruments has been with Zelday nearly ever since he started to play in 2001. Perfect for semi-traditional styles, as well for the more classical western styles. “Very sharp and reflective beauty, I learned lots from you”
Didgeridoo AerodynamicA. This instrument has been tuned in low F, and it’s length stretches a 263 cm. Made for the Airdrum styles and has a drone that reaches around 45 Herz. For those who know these modern styles.., this instruments does it!
A traditional Yidaki in F made by the master himself, Djalu Gurruwiwi. Comes from Jeremy Cloack’s private collection. “This instrument has what is sometimes referred to as Baywara power, the intensity of the lightning. This is manifest as the tongue of the rainbow serpent as he travels through the land, spitting lightning as he moves and rumbling like thunder. Wititj emerged from a freshwater waterhole at Ngaypinya, a billabong covered in dhatam (waterlilies) and gulwirri (palm trees) plus numerous other plants, hence the association with the plant world.”
A very rare traditional Yidaki in G, also made by Djalu, but painted by Mulkun Wirrpanda. A female medicine elder who is deeply connected with her cultural and ecological knowledge. This unique Yidaki has ceremonial quality in sound, what is prefered by the Yolgnu from Arnhemland. Sound is far most important, this instrument really teached me some very authentic lessons about their sacred culture.
A wonderful Zelday Medicine Collection instrument, a dream didgeridoo in Eb.. made by myself. Everything in line, everything works and plays perfect as I melt together with the multi-dimensional world of sound.
Drone Wizard III. One of the most designed didgeridoo´s I made. Has various quality´s, but because of it´s C tuning I played this one most in meditations and sound healings. The bell is quit deep and that creates a drone that resonantes very warm. It sounds like it´s design.
